  • Garvald Kids Go Guising – Saturday 31st October

    guising
    Saturday 31st October 2015, 6pm-7.30pm

Meet at the hall – guising – back to hall for games and divvying up the loot…

Please don’t abandon your children! All primary school children must be accompanied by an adult.

If you are new to the village, the Garvald tradition is for the children to go guising together in two or three groups (with grown-ups in tow). We then go back to the hall for apple dooking, donuts on a string etc while sweets are divvied up and shared (to the delight of the smallest who usually profit with a bigger bag!).
Please let us know via the contact form below, or make it obvious on the night, if you do not wish to be disturbed!

We appreciate you all lead busy lives and suffer from many competing priorities, but it would make such a difference if there was a good turnout at tomorrow’s Hall AGM. It’s at 7.30pm, and there will be cake, biscuits or both! Please PLEASE *PLEASE* try spare an hour or so of your time.

    • One for the nature lovers …

A kind offer from Barrie Ash:

“I currently receive ‘Scottish Wildlife’ from Scottish Wildlife Trust, which is published three times each year as well as ‘Natures Home’ from the RSPB, which has a Scotland News supplement and is published quarterly.

Instead of ultimately consigning them to the recycling box, if there is anyone in the village or nearby who is interested, or might be starting out in learning about our wildlife, you would be welcome to have a look at them. I would be pleased to pass them, after having had a good read myself of course!

Please contact me by telephone 01620830322 or drop round to The New School House.”
