    Donations of home baking are most welcome! Please bring them along on the afternoon of the Flower Show (Saturday 30th August).

  • Nunraw estate felling licence

    A felling licence application has been made by the Nunraw estate, regarding the area shown in the map below. The application is on the Forestry Commission’s public register for comment until the 19th September.   • Doll and carrier found in park

    A wee doll in a pink carrier with a pink blanket was found in the park yesterday. If it’s yours, please pick it up from 1 Council Houses (tel: 830378).

  • Upholstery Workshops

    Sylvia Murray is holding upholstery workshops in Garvald Village Hall on Monday 4th & Tuesday 5th August from 10am till 4pm with a short break for lunch. The cost is £40 per day. For more information, please contact Sylvia via our contact form.

  • There will be tablet!

    The Horticultural Society would like to apologise for and correct a big blooper in the Show schedule. Whilst there is no tablet class listed under preserves and baking, there will be one on the day. So please, get stirring all you tablet makers- and bring us your sugary treats!

  • Garvald Horticultural Show …

    Schedules have now been printed, and should be making their way out to villagers. A digital version will also be uploaded here very soon …

    In the meanwhile, tune into Celebrity Masterchef on BBC1 tonight to get some inspiration for class A35 as the contestants are also being tasked with making “An afternoon tea selection!”
