Palestine Talk by Rosamunde Robertson on Friday 18th May
On Friday 18th May Rosamunde Robertson will be giving a talk entitled “From East Lothian to the West Bank” about her experiences in the South Hebron Hills in Palestine, where she spent three months as an International Monitor.
Come along to Garvald Village Hall from 7pm. Rosamunde’s short talk will start at 7.30pm and there will be plenty of time for questions, coffee and cake afterwards. Entry is free but donations are welcome. We look forward to seeing you there.

Plant Sale – this Sunday between 2-4pm
A reminder … It’s the annual village Plant Sale this Sunday, between 2-4pm in the Hall. Join us to browse plants, gardening books and tools. Plus teas and home baking. All in aid of GVHT …
If you have anything to donate, the Hall will be manned between 4-5pm on Saturday.

Diamond Jubilee Update
Many thanks to all those who attended yesterday’s meeting. Good progress was made. And formal invitations should be winging their way to all Garvald and Morham residents by the middle of next week … We are still looking for helpers, so please drop us a line if you would like to be involved. Otherwise, the next open meeting will take place at 11am on Saturday 5th May.

Reminders for Tuesday 17th April!
Two things happening in the village tomorrow, Tuesday 17th April.
Firstly, there is a meeting at 2pm for anyone interested in helping out at the Plant Sale. Join us at 6 Burnside Court, or drop us a line if you can’t make it.
Secondly, Pilates with Sue Kelly starts again – with classes at 6.30pm and 7.30pm in the Village Hall.

Village SOS Funding – Call for Interested Participants
Village SOS are now accepting grant applications providing between £10,000 and £50,000 to village projects. One application is allowed per community or organisation and grants must be spent within one year.
If anyone has any great ideas for an enterprising and original community project or is interested in helping to put together an application for a grant, then get in touch here.

Crystal Rig II Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund 2012/13
Crystal Rig II Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund is open to applications for funding for 2012/13.
