  • Wine Tasting: Saturday 8th June from 7.30pm …

Tickets are now available for the village wine tasting event, the first in a long time, on Saturday 8th June at 7.30pm in (and around) the Hall (if the weather is up to scratch!)

The price is £6, and entitles the bearer to a selection of wine and nibbles. There will also be a specialist, Ian MacPhail, on hand to give guidance. And he will be selling all his wines by the bottle or case.

If this interests you, then please see Caroline McGregor or any other GVHC member. Alternatively, do drop us a line here.

  • Upcoming events…

The next village event will be the Plant Sale on Sunday 19th May, so please start thinking about what you can donate when you are planting seeds and sub-dividing plants in the next couple of weeks. Thank you!

In the meantime, if you are keen to meet up with local friends or meet some new ones, how about a visit to the pub! There will be a Cocktail Night at the Garvald Inn this Saturday (27th April). For more information on this and future events, you can check out their Facebook page.

  • Important: the annual plant sale!

Due to the unfavourable growing conditions, it has been decided to delay the annual plant sale by a couple of weeks. As such, it will now take place on Sunday 19th May. More details to follow. But please, update your diaries. And apologies for any inconvenience caused.

  • Wine Tasting Evening – update!

  • Get your ticket before the train leaves the station

It’s just a week until the Stenton Footlights start their run of the “Titfield Thunderbolt’, so get your ticket now if you haven’t already done so!

This promises to be a great evening of railway-based humour, as a small village battles against the forces of petty bureaucracy (sounds familiar!).

Tickets from Janette MacDonald on 01368 850665.

    See you there

Unfortunately, there will be no more Zumba classes in the Hall. Falling attendance has made it more and more difficult for tutor, Amanda, and she has had to call it a day. Many thanks to her for giving Garvald a try.
