  • Jumble Sale on Sunday!

    A reminder that it is the Jumble Sale on Sunday, so if you have any bits and bobs you want to donate …

    … the Hall will be open for stock on Saturday between noon and 2pm. If you can’t make it then, please give Vicki or Hazel a call to arrange a better time. Their numbers are 830295 and 830269 respectively.

  • Glug glug …

    Without wishing to sound like a stuck record, this is a final reminder about the wine tasting in the Hall tomorrow night (Saturday 8th June.) Shout now if you’d like to come, and haven’t yet got a ticket. They’re only £6, and entitle the bearer to sample a variety of wines as well as nibbles and entertainment. Fingers crossed too that the weather holds, and we can wander out into the orchard …

  • Annual Village Jumble Sale …

    Time to clear out those cupboards, garages and sheds as it’s village jumble sale time again!

    The event itself will take place on Sunday 16th June, between noon and 2pm. In addition to   the usual stalls, brunch will be available. Bacon sarnies, yum yum!

    The Hall will be open for donations the day before, i.e. Saturday 15th June between noon and 2pm. If you can’t make it then, please contact Vicki Short (830295) or Hazel Clark (830269) for assistance.

  • April GMCC meeting minutes now published

    The minutes for the April Meeting of the Garvald and Morham Community Council have now been approved and published. Among the issues discussed were the community broadband service, road potholes and Crystal Rig funding. Minutes can be downloaded from the GMCC webpage.

    Thank-you to everyone who helped themselves. Everything has now gone.

    There were flowers and cupcakes left in the Hall after yesterday’s wedding. Please help yourselves. They are on the bench in the orchard … Please remember to put the lid back on the tupperware so that the birds don’t get at the latter!

  • Second lost ferret – found in Garvald park by local girls

    Has anyone lost a ferret?

    Garvald girls Robin, Tilly, Eliza and Connie caught a ferret in the park yesterday, thinking it was the one that escaped near Morham in March.   However, owner Paul reports that his ferret was found dead on the roadside so this is a second escaped ferret!

    If you are the owner, please contact us here as soon as possible to arrange collection.

  • Garvald greetings card

    A reminder that the greetings card ‘Garvald in Winter’ by Avril J.D. Gilmore is on sale for £1 per card, with all proceeds being donated to Garvald Village Hall Trust. The card can be purchased at upcoming village sales and events or from Jean at ‘Treetops’.
