Wine Tasting …

It’s a couple of weeks until Garvald’s wine tasting evening – it’s on Saturday 8th June at 7.30pm in the Hall. There will a number of wines to sample, and buy if you like, plus nibbles and some light entertainment. Tickets are £6 each, and are available from Hall committee members. Alternatively, drop us a line and we’ll get them to you. Cheers!!!

A huge thank-you …

… from all on the Garvald Village Hall management committee to those who supported yesterday’s plant sale. It was nice to see so many villagers pop in to buy plants, browse crafts and partake in lunch. Profits for the day were actually up year-on-year and we raised a fabulous £397.83! Thanks too to all who helped out – by donating plants, sharing horticultural knowledge or simply pouring tea. It would be impossible to stage such events without willing and able volunteers … Next up is the Jumble Sale on Sunday 16th June. Please keep watching this space for more information.

Plant Sale – tomorrow at 12pm!

The rain might stop progress in the garden today, but it can’t tomorrow – as it is the annual village plant sale in the warm dry confines of the village hall. Come along from 12pm and bag some bargains – seedlings, cuttings and plants, as well as gardening equipment and books. Lunch will be served as well. What a lovely way to spend an afternoon?!

Plant Sale – addendum

As you know, it is the annual village plant sale this Sunday between 12pm and 3pm. The Hall will be open and staffed to receive donations the day before, Saturday, from 4pm till 6pm. We’re looking for plants, gardening equipment and books, and failing that, cake!!! Many thanks in advance …

Councillor surgery date change to Monday 20th May

For this month only Councillor John McMillan will be holding his surgery in the Village Hall in Garvald on Monday 20th May (instead of Thursday 16th May). The time remains the same… 5.15pm to 6.00pm.

For future reference, Councillor McMillan holds his regular monthly surgery at Garvald on every 3rd Thursday of the month at 5.15pm.

Plant Sale – this Sunday!

A wee reminder that it is the annual village plant sale this Sunday, between 12pm and 3pm in the Hall. Come along for browse – there will be plants and gardening equipment on sale, along with a few craft stalls.  Lunch will also be available – and/or plenty of cake! If you’d like to help in any way, please do drop us a line. Otherwise, it’ll be good to see lots of you there!
