The Trust is operated for the community by a committee of local residents to raise money to help maintain the hall, to raise money for charities and to provide fun events for the village residents to enjoy. Funds are raised through many successful events run during the year. Regular events include table-top sales and craft fairs, social events, ceilidhs and the children’s Hallowe’en and Christmas parties. The Trust also generates income from hiring out the hall for private functions including parties and weddings.
The Events Calendar shows upcoming events and hall bookings.
The village post office operates from the hall on Thursday mornings from 9.30am.
To fundraise while celebrating the Millennium, a Recipe Book was produced using recipes and illustrations provided by villagers and visitors to Garvald, now available to download here.
