East Lothian Council: Local Development Plan

The Courier has reported that East Lothian planners have published a list of potential sites for thousands of new homes over the next decade.

East Lothian Council is currently drawing up its Local Development Plan (LDP) for 2028-2038, which includes new land for more than 3,000 additional homes. They have published a list of preferred sites which are now being looked at further, after receiving more than 130 requests from landowners and developers for consideration.

One of the sites in the Council’s initial list is the Garvald Glebe field where the Church of Scotland has, apparently, again put forward a proposal that would involve 10/12 houses being built on the site.
