Red Cross Fundraising Show
A message from the children of Garvald:
We are having a fundraising event for the Red Cross to help the children of Syria who have been forced to leave their homes because of the war. The event will take place at Garvald Church on Saturday the 30th of November at 7.00pm and there will be a party in The Stables afterwards for everyone. Tickets cost £5 and donations of refreshments (wine, nibbles, cakes) for the party would be much appreciated.
Children wishing to perform should meet at the Church this Saturday 9th at 10.30am.
Children aged 5-18 years, would you like to help with a Variety Show fundraiser for the Red Cross?

For those of you who enjoyed the Garvald wine-tasting evening, you might be interested in attending a similar event at the Scout Hall in Haddington on Saturday 28 September to raise funds for St Mary’s Parish Church, Haddington. Local wine expert Ian MacPhail will guide guests through a selection of five wines, including one sparkling wine and two Fairtrade varieties, with information and tips on wine regions, grapes and techniques for wine-making. This follows on from his successful night at Garvald Village Hall.
Tickets cost £10 including wines, food and music, with all profits from the evening going to St Mary’s Parish Church. Contact us here to be put in touch via email with the organiser, Joanne Allen, or call her on 811019 to purchase tickets for the event.
