Does anyone have any old bricks?

A request from Freda Crosbie:

“This may seem a strange request but I’m looking for some old bricks and was wondering if anyone is doing building work in the area and has any spare bricks that are destined for the skip. If so, please contact me in person or use the website contact form and I will gladly take them off your hands. Thank you.”

Gifford Open Gardens: Sunday 22nd June from 1pm …

Gardeners in Gifford are opening up their pride and joys this Sunday to raise money for charity as part of the Scotland’s Gardens Scheme. Tickets (£5) and maps will be available from the village hall, and the timings are from 1pm till 6pm. Click here for more info …

Queen’s Baton Relay in Haddington

What are you doing on Tuesday 17th between 5.30 and 6pm? Why not come and wave a flag for local lad Scott Thomson, who will be carrying the Commonwealth Games Baton from Haddington Police Station to Station Road.

Rumble in the Jumble!

Yes, it’s THAT weekend – the annual village Jumble Sale in aid of Village Hall funds!

Set up in the Hall at 6.30pm tonight/Friday. Volunteers are needed to wrestle with the trestle tables. Please come along if you have a spare few minutes …

Hall open for stock tomorrow/Saturday from 12 till 2pm. Please drop off your donations, and don’t forget to check the Hall’s lost property as anything unclaimed will go into the sale!

And then it’s the big one on Sunday, the sale from 12 till 2pm. Browse for bargains, and pick up some brunch. And when you’ve done that, why not offer to help out? Stalls will need manning for the duration, and then there’s tidying up …

So, let’s get ready to rumble in the jumble – and turn some muck into brass!
