VILLAGE SHOW – HELP IT GROW!
Garvald Village Show will return on Saturday 27th August. To run the day we need a few more hands to help with stewarding, teas and (behind every great event) washing up.
The committee is meeting on Tuesday 7th June, 7.30pm in the hall – to remind ourselves of how it all works! Do come along if interested to find out more.
Thanks, Jo

Christian Aid wants –
- to expose poverty throughout the world
- to help in practical ways to end it
- to highlight, challenge and change the structures and systems that favour the rich and powerful over the poor and marginalised.

This week, a Christian Aid envelope will drop through your letter-box, but nobody will come annoying you and knocking on your door for collection. Instead, you have the chance to take a leisurely Spring stroll through the village, and drop your donation in the locked strong box in the church vestibule. The Church is open every day. Anything you can spare will be gratefully received by those in need. Thank You.
PS You can also donate on-line if you prefer

Ideally we’ll be outside, hula-hooping in our best fifties fashion! Grateful thanks to the Community Council who are providing funds for this event.
It would be really helpful to get a rough idea of how many people are coming. Please RSVP using the form below
On Friday 13th May there will be a showing of the Billy Wilder classic, “The Apartment”, starring Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine.
