Time to talk turkey …

Now that the weather has finally turned, and it’s not too depressing to think about Christmas, it’s time to let you all know that the annual village dinner will take place on Thursday 8th December in the village hall. Formal invites to follow of course, but please “save the date” for now!

GMCC August meeting minutes now available

The minutes from the August 2016 meeting of Garvald and Morham Community Council are now available on the GMCC page. Among the items discussed were the Haddington and Lammermuir Local Area Partnership, Crystal Rig Funding, changes to the management of Morham Village Hall and the recent Garvald traffic survey.

The next meeting has been re-scheduled to the 10th of October (7pm, at Garvald Village Hall).

Village Show 2016 – Thanks for your support!

veg13Thank you to all the marvellous helpers and supporters at the Village Show 2016. We had people come and help set up, bake cakes for the afternoon teas, bring their exhibits and tidy up afterwards. A big thank you to those children who did a superb job of serving the teas in the tent. Thank you to all of you who came to support the show, making it a very enjoyable event. With the sunny weather there was buzzing atmosphere in the orchard teas tent and a fab pet show to enjoy. Photos have been added to the gallery and the results will be published soon. Well done to all category winners and the trophy winners. We hope to see you again next year. And if you enjoyed the show, you are welcome to come to the AGM in October and offer your assistance for next year’s show. Thank you for your support.
