Anyone for (table) tennis?

A(nother) reminder that there is a table tennis table in the Hall, if you’re struggling to think of something to fill an afternoon this Half Term week. I know it’s the Winter Olympics, but it’s not all as exciting as the slope style snowboarding … More details here. Game on!

Sunday Badminton and Everyday Table Tennis …

Lest you’ve forgotten over the hectic festive period, here’s a reminder that there is a Badminton Session every Sunday night in the Hall – 6pm till 7.30. It is open to all ages, but costs £1 for adults and 50p for youngsters. For more information or contact us here.

There is also a full sized table tennis table in the Hall, which can be used by villagers at any time. Details are here. Happy whiff-whaffery!

 

Da do run run run, da do run run …

Runners, please take note!
Due to popular demand, the Garvald running group are now going out on a Saturday morning as well as Sundays.
Meet outside the pub at 8 am on either one of those days (or both) for an invigorating 30 minute jog.
Men, women, boys, girls, and dogs all welcome – the more the merrier!

Garvald Runners …

Did you know that there is a group of runners who meet outside Garvald pub every Sunday morning at 8 am to go for a 30-40 minute run?

We come in various shapes, sizes and levels of fitness. Since we started, several months ago, we have worked our way up from a walking/running start to nearly-all-running! We would love for more people to join us so are planning a social get-together in Garvald pub this Saturday night, 28th September, at 8 pm. Please join us if you’re at all interested (or even if you just fancy a night at the pub – that’s how we started!) Alternatively, meet us outside the pub on Sunday morning…

Some of our group also run at other times throughout the week so you even if you can’t manage Sunday mornings you might be able to find a running partner for another time. Use the contact form to find out more.

Get Fit in 2013 …

Zumba class starts in the Hall again this Monday, 7th January at 7pm. Each session costs  £5 for adults and £4 for youngsters, and lasts just over an hour …

If you fancy something “lower impact,” pilates kicks off the following week – i.e. Tuesday 15th. There are two sessions, the first at 6.30pm and the second at 7.30pm. Each class costs £8, or a course of 10 for £65 …
