Pilates in the Hall …

Pilates resumes in the Hall tonight (Tuesday 29th April,) but at a new time (7pm) and with a new teacher …

Janine Ferguson has taken over from Sue Kelly, and brings with her a fresh approach to established stretches and routines. For more information, see her website here.

Anyone for (table) tennis?

A(nother) reminder that there is a table tennis table in the Hall, if you’re struggling to think of something to fill an afternoon this Half Term week. I know it’s the Winter Olympics, but it’s not all as exciting as the slope style snowboarding … More details here. Game on!

Sunday Badminton and Everyday Table Tennis …

Lest you’ve forgotten over the hectic festive period, here’s a reminder that there is a Badminton Session every Sunday night in the Hall – 6pm till 7.30. It is open to all ages, but costs £1 for adults and 50p for youngsters. For more information, see Caroline McGregor or Jean Casey, or contact us here.

There is also a full sized table tennis table in the Hall, which can be used by villagers at any time. Details are here. Happy whiff-whaffery!

Da do run run run, da do run run …

Runners, please take note!
Due to popular demand, the Garvald running group are now going out on a Saturday morning as well as Sundays.
Meet outside the pub at 8 am on either one of those days (or both) for an invigorating 30 minute jog.
Men, women, boys, girls, and dogs all welcome – the more the merrier!

Garvald Runners …

Did you know that there is a group of runners who meet outside Garvald pub every Sunday morning at 8 am to go for a 30-40 minute run?
We come in various shapes, sizes and levels of fitness. Since we started, several months ago, we have worked our way up from a walking/running start to nearly-all-running! We would love for more people to join us so are planning a social get-together in Garvald pub this Saturday night, 28th September, at 8 pm. Please join us if you’re at all interested (or even if you just fancy a night at the pub – that’s how we started!) Alternatively, meet us outside the pub on Sunday morning …
Some of our group also run at other times throughout the week so you even if you can’t manage Sunday mornings you might be able to find a running partner for another time. Speak to Caroline McGregor for more information, or drop us a line.
