Haddington Community Choir

The next session of the Haddington Community Choir starts on Wednesday 13 September, with a performance on Saturday 2 December.

Rehearsals take place every Wednesday 7-8.30pm in the Poldrate Granary, 2nd floor.

Choir Master Kenny Hutchison puts together a great repertoire of pop, jazz standards and some interesting surprises!

The choir is open to everyone from age 12 upwards, and we hope to have a real mix of ages and voices.

Proposed Yoga Class – open to everyone!

I am proposing to run a yoga class on either Monday or Wednesday evening from 6.30 – 7.30pm in Garvald Village Hall.

The class will be a yoga flow class drawing on Ashtanga, Iyengar and Hatha yoga and more or less demanding with options for all.

I will run a drop-in taster class in early January so you can try it out and will then run a block booking or drop in system with classes charged at £5 if booked ahead.

    Hockey Tots Mini Summer Camp!

    There are spaces still available for the Hockey Tots Summer Camp for children aged 3-8 years old: multi sports style games, hockey skills and games, arts and crafts, messy play and a treasure hunt.

    Camp Dates:

    • Tuesday 12th July: 10am-12
    • Wednesday 13th July: 10am-12
    • Thursday 14th July: 10am-12
    • Wednesday 3rd August: 10am-12
    • Thursday 4th August: 10am-12

    Cost:

    • £15 per day
    • £20 for two days
    • £40 for three days

    MB Arts Classes in Garvald

    MBArts will be holding FREE workshop Trials for BOTH of our classes after the October Holidays. Usually a free trial costs £5 so this is a great offer that should be taken advantage of!

    These weekly classes are designed to develop creativity and teamwork with specialised workshops tailored to develop skills in Movement, Vocals and Storytelling. Each session will focus on a brand new branch of the perfoming arts and all participants will put together everything they learn throughout the term and put on an end of term show in the last week. These classes are a perfect way for your child to meet new people, make new memories and learn new skills.

    Drama workshops for children, 5-9 August

    Mary-Beth at MBArts has some spaces available in her summer drama workshops for the week beginning 5th August. The workshops are very flexible and run from 9.00-3.30pm with mornings, afternoons, single days or a full week available, depending on your needs. There’s a £5 discount off a full week booking for local residents.

    Mary-Beth at MBArts has a few places left in her summer drama workshops. She has a limited number of places available in July and there are some available in August too. There’s a discount for Garvald residents. Also she is hoping to offer drama picnics for 3-5 year olds on 13th and 20th July.
