Garvald Horticultural Society – Village Show: Saturday 27th August 2022
We are very hopeful that we can go ahead with Garvald Village Show this year. Here is the 2022 schedule: 2022 Garvald Village Show Schedule
The Garvald Horticultural Society stages a village show in the fourth week of August. Participants can exhibit their best blooms, fruit and vegetables, baking, handicrafts, photography and children’s entries. There is also a pet show in the orchard. It’s a friendly show which is open to all; new competitors welcome.
The deadline for entries is 10am on the morning of the Show and the Show opens at 2pm. Good luck!
Decorated Doors Day – Saturday 28th August, 2-5pm
In place of Garvald Village Show this year we invite you to ‘show’ your produce at your doorstep! Decorate your door however you wish; bunting, pots of plants, vase of flowers, basket of veg, bunting, jam jars – get creative!
Have doors ready by 2pm – there will also be ice cream tubs on offer for kids. We very much hope to be back next year with the ‘proper’ Show!

Garvald Show – results 2019
What fabulous sunny weather for our annual village show! Thanks to all our volunteer helpers and organisers. Also thank you to everyone who came along and took part. Full results are available on the Garvald Horticultural Society page.
Show set up – Thursday 7-8pm
We are setting up for the Show on Thursday evening – all help with shifting tables gratefully appreciated. Staging on Friday is 7-9pm, and Saturday 8-10am.
Please bring any donations of baking and raffle prizes on the morning of the sho
w, and leave them in the kitchen.
Don’t forget that if you have anything you have made or grown but does not fit the Show categories, bring it along for the display table. Given tough growing conditions this year the perfectly imperfect veg category may be popular!
Here’s some inspiration…looking forward to seeing you at the Show. Jo (on behalf of Garvald Horticultural Society Committee)
