‘East Lothian Through the Ages’ – Saturday 11th May – St Mary’s, Haddington

The Centenary Conference of East Lothian Antiquarian and Field Naturalists’ Society will host the above event.

Presentations will be given on:
  • The historical significance of the place-names of East Lothian
  • Hillforts of East Lothian
  • The impact of the Romans on East Lothian
  • The changing wildlife of the East Lothian coast
  • Medieval East Lothian in its North Sea world: an archaeological assessment
  • Grand Designs & Gracious Living: The rise of East Lothian’s mansion houses
  • Innovation and change in East Lothian agriculture: some examples from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries
  • The Powerhouse of East Lothian: A Brief History of Coal and Industry

Notes: Every individual has to reserve a ticket  – no group bookings

    A resident is looking to organise a general fitness class (yoga/strength/cardio) for all abilities and ages and genders in Garvald.
