The 100 Club 2014-15 season has now kicked off, with three draws made at the Christmas Dinner on Thursday. The winners were as follows:
November Draw:
December Draw:
Christmas £100 Bonus:
Well done to you all!
If you haven’t joined, but would like to do so, it is still possible and at a reduced rate of £10. Please see Hazel Clark at 6 Burnside Court by 10/1/2015.
There are now new curtains on the stage in the village hall. These have been funded by way of the 100 Club surplus, so thank-you to everyone who has paid their dues over the last year.
So to keep them clean, and everyone safe, we have a request:
Can nobody of any age go on the stage (either through the door or from the front) without prior arrangement with a committee member?
Many thanks in advance.
Someone blogging incessant reminders … Sorry to those who have already submitted their 100 Club dues for 2014-15. But here’s a final call for those who haven’t. Could you please return the form and cash to Hazel or Katy asap. Many thanks in advance!
Belated thanks to all those who attended the 70s Night last Saturday. Some of the costumes were extraordinary. So much time and effort had been invested. Thank-you so much …
The first draw of the 2014-15 100 Club will be made later this month. As such, there is still time to enter. In case you’ve lost the application form, click here to download.
Want to help the Hall as well as yourself? Well why not join the 100 Club?! For an annual subscription of £15, you can enter into monthly prize draws as well as the £100 Christmas bonus … For more info, see the paper fliers which are being distributed. Or click here to download.
The Hall’s management committee will not be organising a Hogmanay event this year, and will be focussing on making the forthcoming 70s Night a success instead.
As such, the Hall will be available for a private Hogmanay party. Or if a group of villagers want to get together to stage a community event, they will be most welcome. Drop the bookings secretary a line here.
Many thanks to the few of you who came along to last night’s meeting, especially given the big “schedule clash.” My baking versus the Bake Off final, there was only ever going to be one winner …
Should you want a copy of the accounts, Hazel Clark still has some print outs so please knock on her door at 6 Burnside Court.
And if you wish to join the management committee, do drop us a line. We are short on numbers, and it is impacting on our ability to put on all the “usual” village events. .
A final reminder about Wednesday’s meeting. 7.30pm in the Hall. Coffee and home made bickies will be served. Yum!
It’s the Hall AGM next Wednesday. The trustees and management committee will be reviewing the year, and looking forward to up and coming events. Why not come along and show your support? Or failing that, why not turn up to register your displeasure?! The formal meeting will start at 7.30pm, and there will be informal chat afterwards over coffee and biscuits. If you can’t make it, (and please don’t let this be a “get-out” if you truly can,) drop us a line here with your thoughts.
