Combine Harvester Alert!!

Hello,

Just a notice to say a combine harvester will be making its way through Garvald tomorrow (Monday) morning.
Could we please ask for cars not to be parked on the Main Street so the combine itself can get passed.

Thank you
Harry from Nunraw

It’s back on – this Friday 10th June at 7.30 pm. Film starts at 8. Projector working again!

A Double Bill : Petite Maman -“in which a girl meets her mother as a child in the woods in a moving jewel of a film about memory, friendship and kin”

and The Silent Child – “This gorgeous short-film tells the story of a young deaf kid’s teacher, Joanne, who comes into the family to help their deaf girl, Libby.”

Still time to book your share of Garvald Inn Ham!

    Christian Aid wants –

    • to expose poverty throughout the world
    • to help in practical ways to end it
    • to highlight, challenge and change the structures and systems that favour the rich and powerful over the poor and marginalised.

This week, a Christian Aid envelope will drop through your letter-box, but nobody will come annoying you and knocking on your door for collection. Instead, you have the chance to take a leisurely Spring stroll through the village, and drop your donation in the locked strong box in the church vestibule. The Church is open every day. (alternatively pass to Janet Winter or Caroline McGregor)  Anything you can spare will be gratefully received by those in need. Thank You.

PS You can also donate on-line if you prefer

Ideally we’ll be outside, hula-hooping in our best fifties fashion! Grateful thanks to the Community Council who are providing funds for this event.

It would be really helpful to get a rough idea of how many people are coming. Please tell Sarah Ramsey or Caroline McGregor or fill in the form below
