Crystal Rig Grants 2018-19
Your Community Council has had a busy year in 2018-2019 and we wanted to update you on what the Crystal Rig Fund has been used for.
Local young people Louisa Stoddart, Isabell Gold, Robin Bellamy and Finlay Hay were supported. Our funding aided them in their competitive sporting and musical achievements and a Raleigh Expedition. Also Heidi Ingram kindly helped the Community Council with GDPR and IT support throughout the year.
Larger projects helped were:
• De- Fibrillator for Garvald
• Woodland Project 2
• Knox Academy
• Yester Primary School
• Haddington Hockey
• Garvald Fun Day
• Seed Funding for Garvald Ceilidh
• Garvald Christmas Party
• Two picnic benches for the Village Hall
• Garvald & Morham Theatre Trip – over 80 people from both villages travelled to Edinburgh to see Wendy and Peter Pan and by all accounts the trip was a great success.
As you can see a large and varied amount of projects were given support. In total we approved the allocation of £22,742 last year.
We are currently arranging to purchase an External Defibrillator to be located at Morham Village Hall and provide some support to 1st Gifford Cub Scouts for a Cub camp.
We are looking for any ideas you may have for allocating 2019 funds. We should have a similar amount of money available and any projects that meet the strict criteria will be considered. Please read the information on our funding page. You can also download the application form from there, or contact Philip White for more information.
