Garvald Village Hall: Craft Taster Sessions – Sign Up!

Thanks to the Garvald & Morham Community Council community benefit fund, there will be wholly or partly subsidised craft sessions in Garvald Village Hall in the new year.
The first one starts on 18th January 2024, and the following sessions have spaces for anyone in Garvald or Morham who would like to participate. Anyone who wants more information or to book a space, please complete the contact form, below, ASAP!
Introduction to Basket Weaving – 3 spaces available

9 hours spread over 3 evenings between 6.30pm and 9.30pm on Wednesday 17th January, Wednesday 31st January and Wednesday 14th February 2024. Fee of £35 to cover materials.

Introduction to Wet Felting – 4 spaces available
7pm – 9pm Thursday 29th February 2024. Free
Introduction to Gel Painting – 3 spaces available
7pm – 9pm Thursday 14th March 2024. Free
Introduction to Water Colours – no limit on class size so lots of spaces available, but please book a space
7pm – 9pm Thursday 11th April 2024. Free
Introduction to Quilting – 3 spaces available
7pm – 9pm Thursday 25th April 2024. Free

    Hogmanay Hoolie Tickets

    Tickets are selling for the Hoolie but there are still quite a few left.

    We look forward to seeing you all there for what is sure to be another great fun night!BYOB & Glass – A light supper will be provided and v/vg options (please advise)

    Garvald and Morham Children’s Christmas Party!

    Saturday 9th December 2023, 2-4pm, Garvald Village Hall

    All the children of Garvald and Morham are warmly invited to join us for a Christmas Ceilidh! There will be a half hour break from dancing at 2:45pm for party food and a visit from someone special – listen out for sleigh bells!

    Parents and carers, please stay with your children and bring:

    • a small wrapped present per child with their name on (keep it hidden and bring to the hall kitchen when you arrive!), suggested £5-10 price range
    • a plate of food to share

    Can’t wait to see you there!

    Garvald and Morham Community Ladies’ Supper – Friday 1st December

    The next Ladies’ Supper will be on Friday 1st December at 7pm in the Garvald Stables. Festive Dress-up! We would love to see some of our neighbours from the wider community come along, too!

    Just a wee reminder of what to bring along:

    • A dish to share
    • Cutlery
    • Plate
    • Bowl for pudding
    • Glass
    • Preferred tipple
    • Something to serve your dish with
