Sound Bath Relaxation Session

There will be a Sound Bath relaxation session run by Kelly at Garvald village hall on Wed 20th March from 7.00-8.00pm.

A Sound Bath is a relaxation session using quartz crystal singing bowls. Just relax and let the soothing sound and vibration rejuvenate you. Spaces are limited to 20, please message Kelly on to secure your place.

    Financial Harm Awareness Event: ‘Fraud, Scams and Financial Plans’

    Do you know how to protect yourself from financial harm, one of the most common forms of harm?

    Come along to a free drop-in event on 19th February 2019 to find out more about how to keep yourself and your family safe.

    You will be able to talk to representatives from a range of organisations including Trading Standards, Citizens Advice, Police Scotland, Neighbourhood Watch Scotland, Royal Bank of Scotland and the East Lothian and Midlothian Public Protection Office about what you can do to protect yourself.

    Talk: Restoring Amisfield Walled Garden

    Gifford Horticultural Society are holding a talk in Gifford village hall on Wednesday.

    Kate Rycroft, Chair of the Amisfield Preservation Trust will be describing the restoration at Amisfield. At 8 acres in size, Amisfield Walled garden is one of the largest historic walled gardens in Scotland.

    Over the past eleven years, it has been restored from a completely neglected state into a thriving community garden. It now provides a venue for education and training for people of all abilities, as well as being an established local visitor attraction.

    Kate will talk about the historic background to the garden’s development and will outline its current restoration as a community garden.

    Wednesday 13th February 2019, 7.30pm in Gifford Village Hall.  Non-members welcome.

    Children’s Christmas Party – let us know if you are coming

    The Children’s Christmas Party will be held on Friday 21st of December from 4-6pm in Garvald village hall. All children from Garvald and Morham are welcome.

    Entertainment will be provided by Starz Entertainment this year. And there will be a visit from Santa! A small buffet will be provided.

    As in previous years, could parents please bring along a present for their child, wrapped and named!
