Residents of the village witnessed a horrific attack on a deer, yesterday (Tuesday 31st October), by a large, off-lead (possibly brown/grey coloured) dog. In addition to the attack, during which the deer was killed, the dog was loose in a field where there are sheep and it had been seen chasing the sheep, earlier.
As far as they are aware, the dog is still loose and the owner has not been found. Is/Was your dog missing and possibly in the vicinity of Nunraw Barns yesterday (Tuesday) at around 3.50pm?
Please ensure all dogs are kept on a lead around livestock and wildlife.
