It’s a smaller gathering this time so join us at The Stables, Garvald (on the corner, on the left, before the church) at 7pm this Friday for a small gathering. Please bring a dish to share as well as your own crockery, cutlery and glasses – and something to drink!
Please note there is no oven in The Stables so please bring food ready to eat.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to come along, over the weekend, to help with the maintenance days.
We achieved so much, had a good laugh and ate a load of biscuits!
We started patching up the rotting wood at the bottom of the main windows but quickly realised they need more work than our skills can offer. We’ll be looking at how best to address this but meantime we’ve started at least to make them watertight. Thanks as well for the loan of tools and ladders etc. Every bit helps!
It doesn’t just need to be volunteering days. If you spot something that needs doing and feel you could tackle, please let me or any member of the committee know.
The Village Hall is our hall and its our job to look after it! If you’d like to help out in any way please feel free to join one of our regular meetings. We’ll be posting when the next one is on the village website.
Many thanks
Lee Robertson and the Village Hall Committee
There will be no post office services in Garvald Village Hall, on Thursday 5th May, as the Hall will be the local polling station for the elections.
We are grateful for all help in carrying out some minor routine maintenance tasks this weekend at the hall, 2-5pm. Click on the link for more information on the task list!
Thanks to everybody who attended this event in Whittinghame yesterday, and contributed to the magnificent £1560 which was raised.
