A number of residents have expressed concern about dog poo being left on the paths and park within Garvald.
I am aware that we have a number of dogs in the village and that owners take responsibility for clearing up after their dogs. However, given the reported incidents can I ask that owners remain attentive when out with their dogs please. PhillipChairman or Community Council
Some residents of Garvald may remember Alison and Neil Young who ran the Garvald Inn some years back. Sadly, both Alison and Neil – more recently of Market Street, Haddington – passed away last week and their (joint) funerals will be held at St Marys Parish Church on Thursday 14th April at 11am followed by an interment at St Martins Cemetery at 11.45am. The family have requested family flowers only. Donations to RSPCA and Dementia UK.
SEEDS will shortly be available for children to plant, to enter into the Village Show.
I will put these in a ‘seeds tin’ at the village hall noticeboard at the start of Easter break. Please help yourself.

With very late notice, the Post Office will not be in Garvald Village Hall on Thursday 24th March.
Normal service will resume next week.
