Garvald and Morham Community Ladies’ Supper – Friday 1st December
The next Ladies’ Supper will be on Friday 1st December at 7pm in the Garvald Stables. Festive Dress-up! We would love to see some of our neighbours from the wider community come along, too!
Just a wee reminder of what to bring along:
- A dish to share
- Cutlery
- Plate
- Bowl for pudding
- Glass
- Preferred tipple
- Something to serve your dish with

There have been some changes to the platform used to send out Garvald.org.uk news emails.
Going forward, the 5pm email alerts which go out to subscribers every time new information is posted will now only occur on Tuesdays and Fridays.

PUBlic Philosophy Evening – Thursday 18th January at 8pm – Garvald Inn
The next PUBlic Philosophy event will be on Thursday 18th January from 8-10pm in the Garvald Inn. Professor Amalia Amaya Navarro and Dr. Nick Treanor will lead discussions about jurisprudential virtue and the biggest thing you’ve ever seen.
Wreath Making Workshop CANCELLED
The Wreath Making Workshop due to take place on Sunday 3rd December in Garvald Village Hall has been cancelled.
Garvald and Morham Community Craft Evenings
A group of local crafters will be getting together on Thursday 9th November at 7pm in Garvald Village Hall. Everybody is welcome to bring any craft to work on, in company. There will also be a discussion on what demonstrations to have through the year and you can find out about regular meet-ups.

Out of Control Dog
Residents of the village witnessed a horrific attack on a deer, yesterday (Tuesday 31st October), by a large, off-lead (possibly brown/grey coloured) dog. In addition to the attack, during which the deer was killed, the dog was loose in a field where there are sheep and it had been seen chasing the sheep, earlier.
As far as they are aware, the dog is still loose and the owner has not been found. Is/Was your dog missing and possibly in the vicinity of Nunraw Barns yesterday (Tuesday) at around 3.50pm?
Please ensure all dogs are kept on a lead around livestock and wildlife.
