It is the council’s intention to undertake carriageway repairs at the above location. It is anticipated that this work will commence on Wednesday 8th March 2023 and will take approximately 5 weeks, weather permitting.
In order to comply with current Health & Safety legislation, it will be necessary to close the road to through vehicular traffic. A diversion route wil be signed during the works. Residents vehicular access/egress will be maintained from the Gifford direction.
Refuse and recycling collections will be collected as normal, however please ensure your bins/boxes are out for 7am on collection days.
Spring Oscars (a childcare supplier supported by Action for children – https://springchildcare.co.uk/spring-oscars/) have expressed their ability to provide an after school and holiday club at Yester Primary.
In order to understand how many families might be interested in an after school and holiday club at Yester, a short multiple-choice questionnaire (link below) has been sent for parents/carers to complete. This survey will be open until 9th March.
The craft group meet-up in Garvald Village Hall planned for Thursday 2nd March has been cancelled.
The next planned meet-up for crafters will be Thursday 16th March at 7.15pm in Garvald Village Hall.
With deepest heartfelt sorrow, Stuart lost Doreen, his devoted, loving, caring mother, and I (Barrie) lost my wife, my love, my best friend, the very best part of me; she passed quietly away in the early hours of 12th February, at the Western General Hospital.
You are welcome to join us at the funeral service, to be held at Mortonhall Crematorium, Pentland Chapel on 8th March 2023 at 2.30pm.
No flowers please but a DEC collection will be held for the victims of the Turkey – Syria disaster fund.

Following the service, from 3.15pm, we will be holding a small gathering in The Charwood, 47 Buckstone Terrace, Edinburgh. EH10 6QJ, which is conveniently nearby.
