This year’s Christmas Party for the children of Garvald and Morham will take place in Garvald Village Hall on 21st December, 3-5pm.
Alexander the Great will provide a magic show, disco and games, and Santa will make an appearance to present the each child with a gift. (*Please remember to bring a wrapped and clearly labelled token gift for Santa to give to your child*).
Please bring a small sharing plate to contribute to the kids’ party tea (*nut free*).

Invitations are now being delivered for the Garvald Christmas Dinner on 5th December.
It’s such a busy time of year that the Yester Primary School Choir Concert is on the same evening. The concert finishes around 7 or 7.30 pm.
We will be delighted to welcome latecomers to the Christmas Dinner so don’t feel you have to miss out on our traditional start to the Christmas season. We will even keep back some soup and save you a seat.
Just indicate on your reply slip that you will be a late arrival because of the school concert.
There will be a Harvest Thanksgiving Service in Garvald Church on Sunday 3rd November at 9.30 am. The collection will go to WaterAid.
On Sunday 10th November the Remembrance Service will be held in Morham Church at 9.30 am. In addition there will be a short ceremony at the War Memorial outside Garvald Church at 10.45 am, followed by refreshments in the Stables.
Everyone is very welcome to attend any, or all of these services.
The Annual Garvald Christmas Dinner will take place on Thursday 5th December in the Village Hall. Doors open at 7 pm.
Watch out for the invitations which will shortly be arriving through your letter-boxes.
The Children’s Halloween Party is on Thursday 31st October. Meet at the hall at 6pm to go guising in groups around the village, then back to the hall for the after-party! All welcome.
Any parents that can help with supervising guising groups would be much appreciated.
Fellow villagers please make it obvious with a pumpkin or some decoration if you are happy for the little ghosts & ghouls of Garvald to visit you!
