Outdoor gym equipment – community survey

The Community Council are looking to spend some of the CrystalRig wind farm funds on a community project that would help support the health and well-being of local people.

The proposed project would involve the installation of up to five small exercise workstations at the south-west corner of Garvald park. The equipment would be free to use and suitable for adults of ALL ages and abilities (and teens aged 14+ years).

We would like to gather as much feedback as possible.

Please complete this short survey
It would be much appreciated if you could do this straight away! Many thanks.

More information:

  • The workstations (shown above) are from Proludic Ltd.
  • The proposed location is shown below.
  • The Community Council are also aiming to install two more workstations in Morham at the village hall at a later date.

Whiteadder: The Historic Heart of the Lammermuirs

Garvald Village Hall Thursday 12 September 6pm

In 2019 and 2020, an exciting new archaeology project takes place across East Lothian and the Scottish Borders. Making use of newly-acquired, high-resolution LiDAR data, this new study will provide a new insight into the landscape history of the Lammermuir Hills. Many new archaeological and historical sites will be recorded for the first time, and some of the area’s most spectacular forts, castles and farmsteads will be seen in a new light. The project is a collaborative community initiative: come along to hear how you can get involved in investigating the archaeology of the Lammermuirs and learning more about the history that has shaped the way they appear today.
