Please make a note in your diaries of the forthcoming AGM which will be held on Wednesday 20th November at 7.30pm in the hall.

Hope to see you there!

Garvald Christmas Dinner

Invitations are now being delivered for the Garvald Christmas Dinner on 5th December.

pdf invitation

It’s such a busy time of year that the Yester Primary School Choir Concert is on the same evening. The concert finishes around 7 or 7.30 pm.

We will be delighted to welcome latecomers to the Christmas Dinner so don’t feel you have to miss out on our traditional start to the Christmas season. We will even keep back some soup and save you a seat.

Just indicate on your reply slip that you will be a late arrival because of the school concert.

Harvest Thanksgiving and Remembrance Sunday

There will be a Harvest Thanksgiving Service in Garvald Church on Sunday 3rd November at 9.30 am. The collection will go to WaterAid.

.

On Sunday 10th November the Remembrance Service will be held in Morham Church at 9.30 am. In addition there will be a short ceremony at the War Memorial outside Garvald Church at 10.45 am, followed by refreshments in the Stables.

Everyone is very welcome to attend any, or all of these services.

Outdoor gym survey reminder

Here’s a final reminder about the feedback survey on a proposed outdoor gym for Garvald. This survey will close at the end of Friday 1st November.

Thank you to those who have already completed the survey. We’ve had a great response but would like feedback from even more of you (Morham people too, as we’d like to install two workstations there). Please spare a few minutes to complete the survey. Many thanks.

More information:

  • Project to be fully-funded by the CrystalRig wind farm funds
  • 3 – 5 small exercise workstations would be installed in Garvald park and 2 more in Morham.
  • Equipment would be free to use.
  • Workstations suitable for teens and adults of ALL ages and abilities.
  • The supplier is Proludic Ltd and workstations will be selected by a local professional personal trainer to suit an all-round fitness programme.
  • The proposed location in Garvald park is shown below.

Missing Cat – Please look out for it.

Missing since Wednesday night: black and white female but mostly white with a distinctive black smudge on her nose. Chipped. Very out character to wander far. Kirkbrae area.
Please could people check their sheds etc, or use the contact form if you have seen her?
Any info would be much appreciated.
